i am about to install my 5.5" lift tomm and have not had the custom rear DS made yet for obvious reasons..i know guys have told me on here that you can drive in 4x4 with just the front DS like front wheel drive...but have had local buddies tell me that they have burned up their transfercase...

RE 5.5" is on the way...need to figure out SYE/DS problem. i want to do PORC SYE and stock xj front DS, but have a D35 rear...I have posted about this before but can't afford the risk of not working...what are my chances of a front DS being long enough with a D35 rear? should i even try it...

I read that I could use a stock XJ front DS in the rear w/ a hack and tap SYE. My question is that could I run the xj front DS with a real complete SYE kit...say the advanced adapters one? I got scared away from the hack and tap from numerous people...its not strong enough, etc...I'll be putting...
