I might be interested though I don't need the instruction. I have alot of ref material as well and can provide some loaner equipment too. Where were you going to try to do this at?
Sounds like a loose bolt. When you tightened everything was it on the ground? I left all of mine loose then drove it about 10 feet, rocked it then tightened it up.

You could switch to a 242 for the whole FT4WD option but I think you would be just throwing money away. Ask yourself if you really need that option. For the most part I keep mine in 2WD until I need it. Then usually it's right into 4LO. Most anything else can be handled with skill though I will...
I have used the duplicolor on my bumpers and sliders and it works good. I would suggest rolling it on though as it is better that way and lasts longer. Though it is good stuff I still think the Rhino is better.

Thanks for the tip and I'm already doing it. On my second roll of wire in less then a month. It's funny how I was getting frustrated with the welds on just scrap flat since they weren't coming out right (just like worms) until a friend who is a welder came over and told me you need to turn down...
call rock crawler and they will sell you the joint seperately. IIRC they are like $30 or so. I have the RK set-up and I am happy with it. Just make sure all is tight and go!
You can get these:

Looks like they are through Summit and have 2" BS. That should get rid of rubbing!
Looks pretty nice overall. I have been looking around at the TJs lately and I'm really thinking of putting mine up for sale here real soon. Bitten by the SWB bug I guess.
I have taken them into 18" snow with great results aired down to 15 PSI. They gripped great and got me around quite well. Ice sucks but then again unless you have studded tires ice sucks period.
I have used all 3 tires and I am now on my second set of Destinations and love them. With about 20k miles and barely any wear. I will be getting another set when these are gone.
You could always go to the JY and send it to them as well right? TW has been hands down the best customer service out there I have delt with. I ahd a problem with the seal on my case and TW took care of it personally and sent me other stuff free. If anything, I would call TW back and ask them to...
I use Garmin as well. If you are looking for one that you can carry/mount with maps I think it is the best bang for the buck. Mine is a Foretrex wristop but I don't use it for city navigation. Though I do now have one for my PDA!
