Tranny light came on on dash the other day. My ODB-II scanner showed P1698. Looks like you get that code when there is no communication from the TCM. It still seemed to be shifting fine...I was about 10 miles from home and running up and down hills on the way and didn't notice anything weird...

Sorry I couldn't stick around too long...my XJ decided to start pissing coolant everywhere. In preparation for my trip to PA, I had the radiator flushed a few days earlier...kinda figuring I'd figure out if it would make the trip or not. So, I was kinda glad it did it there and not in BFE...

Productive evening... Put a new console latch on (the catch had broken off) it didn't line up right although it looked just like the original so I filed the spot where it hooks to on the console until it would latch. Swapped out a valve cover vent that was cracked. Installed K&N air...
