87 Jeep Comanche for parts or rebuild

I'll get some in the morning. The wind has been blowing so hard that if I tried to take the tarp off I'd be in Salt Lake within an hour.

87 Jeep Comanche for parts or rebuild

Elk & moose are the exceptions. They usually wind up inside the vehicle with everyone dead. Going rock climbing was my only option. I had a 300' cliff going down to a river on the other side. I don't swim. I'll get some pictures taken this weekend. I have no idea how to post them, so I will...

87 Jeep Comanche for parts or rebuild

I can get you some, but probably not before the weekend. It's covered and I am dealing with some broken ribs and a collapsed lung. I'll need help getting the cover off. I'm not really moving well this week.

87 Jeep Comanche for parts or rebuild

4WD, and it worked great until I went rock climbing at 60.

87 Jeep Comanche for parts or rebuild

I rolled him onto his top two years ago. He has been covered ever since. Surprisingly little damage was done, because of the brush guard and canopy. Could possibly be made into a runner again with the proper skills and tools. GOOD 4.0 and 5 speed. 3 good wheels plus spare. I went rock climbing...

    Deep fried wiring

I will admit to being a bit prejudiced, but she is one of the nicest looking foals that I have seen in years. I suspect that she will become a lineback dun when she loses her baby fur.

    Close. Her name is Dixie.

    Deep fried wiring

NAPA was unable to find anything that even resembled the part that I needed, so I cobbled up a wire with an inline fuse and used that to get the car running. I ran him into town last night, and he purred like a tiger.

    Deep fried wiring

I'm just glad that these little guys are so easy to work on and all of you guys are here to help when I can't figure out the problem by myself.

    Deep fried wiring

All help welcome. I haven't slept in a barn for years, and I'm already tired of it. This mare was not supposed to have been bred.

    Deep fried wiring

Tracked down my problem yesterday, thanks to you guys. It was a fusible link and a cooked positive battery cable. I cobbled it together to make sure that really was the problem, and picked up the parts today. Tomorrow I will fix it right, and Ol' Blue will be back on the road. 10 years ago, I...

    Deep fried wiring

I was sort of hoping that nobody would suggest that. My poor old body feels enough like a pretzel without bending under a dashboard. Guess my neighbors are due for some entertainment and vocabulary enrichment while I check it out.

    Deep fried wiring

No power to anything. Does not crank. When it suddenly quit running I opened my door, and smoke was coming from the wires. The ground wire was burned in half.

    fuel tank/pump swap question

Just one more reason to keep the old ones running.

    Deep fried wiring

The ground wire for my electric windows broke at the driver's door hinge last night and the short killed the engine. He wouldn't restart, so I had to walk home and get my truck in order to make it to work. Any idea what I may have cooked, or do I need to take my truck and Master Card to NAPA and...

    fuel tank/pump swap question

If you can get the car in the air, there is really no reason to drop the tank. The access panel can be easily reached with the tank in place.

Do you accept Paypal, or would you rather I mail you a check?

    Door vent windows

Exactly what I needed. Thanks! My first project will be to try to post pictures of both my boys on here.

    Door vent windows

I am ready to begin making my Comanche what I want him to be. He presently has fixed door vent windows. I just picked up some doors that have opening vent windows, and am trying to decide whether to just switch out the doors, or pry out the little windows and change them separately. My existing...
