A whole bunch done lately so some pics are in order.
Tube/sheet flairs and short stinger with guards
Picked up a LP 30 last Friday and plated the CA mounts, replaced the TB mount with 3/16" tube and added coil bucket bump stops. Added a hole with a welded nut in the BS so I can add hockey...
Added about 200 lbs or so to old Taz in the form of sliders. 2x8x1/4 with 2x2x1/4 piggy backed with 10ga sheet to the frame. I still need to weld the frame area more, the rear in the fender area and the sheet metal under the doors. For some reason I can't get the Dual Shield wire to go low...
Started on my sliders last weekend. Body is cut out and the 2x8x1/4 tube is laying by my shed at work. Lots of fun cutting out the old sheet metal. Got it cleaned up for the most part and found there is not really a lot of floor pan left on either side. I'm thinking a piece of 10" wide 10ga or...
Re: The Colorado BS thread
Made a right hand turn in my celica back in HS and when I straightened out my left rear came off. I watched it pass me, hit and curb and fly straight for my neighbors house. Bounced off the gutter, thank god. Even if a tire shop takes a tire off I check them my self.

1248 miles, $298.13 in gas while getting 17mpg...I'd say the old XJ did pretty good. It's good to be home too! :yelclap:
Oh ya, I forgot how much the roads suck around here. There are logging roads back in MI that were smoother!
Re: The Colorado BS thread

I have pretty much everything packed and today I'll load old Taz down for my move. Looks like once I hit western Iowa the roads will be decent. Until then it's a crap shoot.
Showed this to the paint guys at work yesterday (NAPA) and they thought this was plain cool, one guy even wrote the mix down and said he would give it a try.
Re: The Colorado BS thread
Seen the framers use them for cutting metal studs and they work pretty good. Loud and kind of slow but like you say, no dust. The shavings however go all over just like an abrasive chop saw and are just as hot.
The old blades make great art pieces.
Re: The Colorado BS thread
'05 was pretty fun too. I was working in Houston wanting to come home for X-mas but the airport was closed as well as I-70 and I-25. I left in my 2wd pickup figuring I could find some back way in if needed. I had no problems until I hit the Tech Center, four lanes at...
