Can't believe it's been 7 years since I did this install. Glad that it's still providing useful info! Sorry the original pictures are gone, I searched my HD and couldn't find them so they're probably lost in a photobucket account I don't remember the login to. Anyways, you're lucky I will never...
Yes I'm sure the leak is not coming from anywhere else, it's clearly coming from the bleeder port, out the threads. I re-tightened it this morning and throughly cleaned the entire caliper with water and degreaser. I've driven it around all day and it's still leaking, but it's a TINY amount. I...
This is on my 98 XJ, with rear disc brake hardware from a ZJ. Issue with driver side rear.
Replaced a seized caliper today with a caliper from Napa. Installed the caliper and bled the brakes, but the brakes didn't "feel" right. Upon inspection, fluid was leaking from the threads of the bleeder...
Mine are not wired for heat, but I know it can be done. I've seen others who have wired them, I know when I was searching for info on installing the seats I found a couple of threads documenting it.
I was hoping not to revive this thread, but low and behold.
For the past week everything had been fine, the radio was working perfectly, no fuse blown.
I ran into problems yesterday on the way back from work. Was driving along, nothing crazy, didn't hit any bumps, but out of nowhere the radio...
Clean install, looks good. Did you mount the Kenwood bluetooth mic yet? I ran mine up the driverside a-pillar and clipped it into the sun visor, seems to be a pretty good location for it.
98 XJ with about 145K. Kenwood KDC-X994 head unit has been in for 6 months with no problems, hooked up to two amps, one for highs, one for a sub.
So I was driving back from D.C. to Richmond today, about a 2 hour trek, when I had all types of weird electrical problems going on.
First, the radio...
My Motodroid has this same problem. I NEVER use the music player on my Droid, but for some weird ass reason every time I make a Bluetooth call my phone will start playing some random song. I don't like using the radio's interface to make calls, I've found it to be faster and more efficient just...
Yeah I'll get some pics and post them on this thread tomorrow sometime. As far as the built-in amp I couldn't say, it's been hooked up to two amps since day one.
Yeah I know how that goes. Earlier this year I just wanted to replace a head unit...then came the front components, the rears, a new sub, two new amps....
As for the X994, I've got nothing but good things to say. It comes with a super long USB cable that you can plug a thumbdrive or any mp3...
This is gonna be a long post so bear with me.

I ordered this bumper back in April because they were having an EJS sale, and had to it shipped to Virginia while I was living in...
Some head units will now let you use your iPod itself to control it, rather than the head unit controls. I have this particular unit:

And it's great, several color schemes, lots of options for...
The ZJ rears have an internal lock mechanism and dont require any external brackets to lock into. There are handles next to the side mounting brackets that you pull up on to drop the seatbacks.
