12 Ton shop press HF Tools large bearing separator First: It scares the hell outta me to place the pinion in the separator and press down on the pinion shaft in the first place....when the bearing finally does pop loose I'm thinking it will shoot at about a million miles per hour at the garage...

So I made a mess welding some 1/8" angle to 1/8" mild steel plate using 6013 rods and a lincoln ac/dc 225 buzzbox. Some welds were good (like a bunch of dimes) some were well, bad even though I kept the same amps. So I'm thinking its all about the prep work. What do y'all recommend for metal...

OK, I have approx 6" lift, rear XJ44, RE1462 pack and 6* shim, sye, rusty's 6.5 coils up front and no vibes on 33" x 12.50 mt/r's on 4.75" BS wheels. Have a set of 12" travel bilstein 5100's. Without boring you with all the math, I end up with only 3.5" of up travel and about 8" droop...

Finally got a pir of these and as I'm "wrenching" in the garage tonight I realized I couldn't open a can of beer (safer than glass in the shop) while wearing these things. Anyone have a similar experience? P

Pretty straight forward, could have used one more clamp for the tail pipe section to the muffler connect, but went in pretty easy. Tailpipe rattles against the lift shackle but I anticipated that. 5 min with a torch (no got) or a drive to the muffler shop and that's an easy fix. SuperTurbo...
