Euro taillights wont be a problem since every xj has them as "oem" here
I will give them a call on monday and se if they have the switchpanel and taillights, i will ask what they want for those parts and then pm you with it.
If its a smarter then average tow truck driver they would cut open a pet bottle and use ducttape or something similar to secure it on the output for the rear driveshaft once they have removed it to prevent the oil from leaking out.
If you have 12V out of the relay but nothing to the light i would suspect a broken wire.
Do you have a volt meter that has a summer?
Do you have a testlight for car electronics?
If you do you can use that to check the wiring.
If anyone is interested i live 5minutes away from europes largest junkyard for us vehicles.
If anyone here wants anything i can go and take a look and see if they have it.
This is just a small part of their Jeep section:
It gets to hot and turns off as a saftey.
Mine does that too but i have a coolingpad with a fan that blows cool air at the bottom of the laptop when i want to play this demo or any other game that makes it get hot.
If you dont have a coolingpad you can put something that lifts up the laptop so...
I drive the XJ mostly in summertime and after that it sits parked outside over the winter. I drive to work and back again so its about 120km every day.
So in total its maybe 6-7000km before i do an oilchange in it
I use regular oil in it not synthetic.
I bought the filter from ebay.uk so i...
I have almost the same problem with mine but it only takes 3sec for it to build up oilpressure. I dont think its a clogged pickup because i always change the oil at 10000km´s or after a year wichever comes first. (usually a year)
But the last time i did an oilchange i used a k&n oilfilter could...
Well not in elementry school but if you take the automotive school you learn how to weld with a MIG/TIG, Stickwelding and welding with an oxy acetylene torch.
For some reason you even learn the basics of how to use a lathe.
I thought that was useless at the time but now i have a lathe in my...
I got tired of mine cracking all the time a couple of years ago so i made one out of stainless steel. it hasent cracked yet, it looks small but it holds a little more coolant then the stock tank does
I think i have posted it here somwhere before but here it is again:
When was the oil changed last?
If its old and the jeep was mostly used for short trips there are going to bee to much unburnt fuel in the oil and that can really screw with the numbers.
In my -89 i always have to do an oilchange a couple of days before i go and get it inspected. That + fresh...
Dont know where to put this, but my virusprotection says that there is a virus on the frontpage of naxja and then blocks it.
The adress it blocks is: DONT click on it, I have no idea of whats hiding inside it.

I dont use my cherokee during the winters it just sits still in my yard and waits for springtime. Those bfg allterrain is completley useless in the wintertime and i dont have ABS in it, so I use my grand cherokee during the winters.
When i drive at night those lights are maybe a little to good...
You could also look at the brakes on each wheel.
If there is a brakeline and a wire then you have ABS, if you only have the brakeline to the calipers/cylinders and no wire then you dont have ABS.
I forgot that, mine is an 89.
Is it just to splice in the wires for the switch in the existing wires for the tempsensor? Should i add a fuse and a relay for that or it will bee fine without?
Is it ok if i borrow this thread a little?
My fan works like it should, but I want to have a swich so that I can start it when i want to.
Is it possible to controll it with a switch and still have it functioning like jeep designed it to do?
Or I can only have one or the other?
I replaced the cps on my 89 (26000kms) a couple of weeks ago for just this fault.
It wouldn't start when it was hot out or the engine was warm, but when it was cold outside it would fire right up..
If i let the engine idle to normal temperature and then shut it off it would refuse to start...
