    Disc Brake Conversion

From what I'm reading you put ZJ discs from the aluminum D44 on an XJ D44 correct? I'm very interested in doing this as well. How difficult was the modification? Kevin

Few questions on changing out steering knuckle

No need to drain the diff, but you're probably experience a bit of leaking out of the axle tube for a day or so.

    Steering Stabilizer

I've personally never seen a steering stabilizer "jam" causing it harder to turn, but I wouldn't rule it out. If your stabilizer is leaking fluid then it is bad and needs to be changed anyhow. When they go bad you will get vibrations of varying degree depending upon many things including the...

    One more tire question

MT's are hard and tend to bounce a bit on the rocks, however you get alot of miles out of them. Go with GoodYear MT/R's over BFG MTs. Having said all of that, for your use BFG ATs would probably be perfect. I ran them for a while and loved them. Kevin

    Bar pin eliminator?

A popular thing to do is to use the bracket at the ends of your rear sway bar (where it attaches to the axle) as bar pin eliminators. It's simple and it works well. Kevin

    Back from Moab!

I don't have the pics up yet, but I just got back from Moab for the first time. Wish I could go back up there and run it with Naxja, but work wouldn't allow it. I ran Moab Rim, Cliffhanger, Pritchett Canyon and Potatoe salad hill. GREAT fun! I did all of this with a 95 XJ RE 5.5 + 2" with SS...

    F$#$#@ RE Drops Brackets...

So did mine, but when I tightened the bolt to close the gap the bolt broke and shot off like a bullet. Fixed it with a swap at the local hardware store but I still have a small gap. Kevin

C-Rok, We have some people in my "other" club discussing the cowl hoop on your XJ. Does it limit the visibility being up that high? Kevin

    Front axle/driveshaft problem?

My XJ is on 35's with 7.5" of lift. RE drop brackets, Adjustable RE HD track bar in the front. Stock front driveshaft. When I'm climbing or going over "whoops" under power I feel a sharp clunk coming from the front end. I can feel it coming through my steering wheel as well as hear the...

    Steering Probelm with 95...

Have a friend turn the wheel while you look underneath. (especially at the track bar mount). Sounds to me like your trackbar is loose, but it could be a myriad of things. Kevin

What does everyone with out bead locks air down too?

35x12.5 BFG ATs. I run 8 to 10 lbs and never had a bead come off, and it certainly wasn't for lack of flogging.

    Lift questions PLEASE HELP

Short answer: Probably not, depends on the Jeep. You might get lucky due to the year your XJ is, but I wouldn't count on it.

    Best steering setup?

My 95 XJ is up about 8" and I'd like to drastically improve the stock steering. I thought about a drop pitman arm (I do run a SBB), but I'd rather go with some sort of hi-steer for my HP dana 30. Any suggestions, and would a drop pitman arm suffice? Kevin

    Need SYE advice

You may or may not need one. Depends on the Jeep. Each is different. If you can afford it, go ahead and get one. Otherwise, install the lift and see if you need one. I run the AA HD SYE and I am pleased with it. Kevin
