Definitely go up Medano Pass, I've camped there several times. The best campsites are after the 3rd river crossing in my opinion.

I wasn't sure as to what modding there would be. Changing the bushings was the only thing i could think of. I know its not a mod. Thanks alot for the info though!

Alright, I work there and I saw a nice lookin Black XJ today with about 5.5"-7"s of lift with MTR's on stock 16"s. Curious as to who this was and I wanna say it was a nice Jeep. It's kinda what I'm shootin for in the total lift and tire size dept.
