let's resurrect a 9+ year old thread, shall we?
I need this same exploded parts view. For my '97. I've heard they're on dana's website, but I sure as hell couldn't find it.
And yes, I google image searched it and only came up with a TINY resolution one.
Here is one off quadratec's...
I agree with the dry filter...but options are limited for a snorkel and airbox delete combo...
Okay, it's NPT threads....I wasn't thinking. I had the threads of 1/4" in my mind, with a 7/16" drill bit. 1/4" NPT isn't 1/4"! Thanks Wiggleworm
The only thing I didn't see this thread really...
Debating going with the K&N equivalent of this setup now....because Spectre has raised their prices it appears. It seems the Spectre unit does not come with filter while the K&N does. And the K&N already has a bung..
Spectre 4" 'airbox' with 3" inlet/outlet - $65 on Amazon
_____Spectre 4"...
Thinking about using this setup...that can't be right. Is the drill bit size wrong I'm guessing?
Anyhow I noticed Spectre responded to your email and could not verify if the filter housing was watertite..
Have you gotten a chance to put this system thru its' paces? :D
called up import.autoparts who has it on 3bay (listed at $209.xx) and convinced him that avoiding 3bay fees and shipping to business address should warrant $200 shipped. He didn't care about the business address..it was 200 flat
I think that's about all the more I needed to pass up the GMB....any other affordable aftermarket ones worth mentioning..?
I was actually considering this...but then I started thinking about balancing and the bearing..maybe it wouldn't matter..
I agree with that statement. However, if you're trying to guesstimate to get yourself headed in the right direction, you should do something similar to my statement. Not what the write-up says.
Everything is somewhat of a guess and somewhat of a relationship when setting up gears. When you...
Okay, so the manufacturer claims 300% increase in pump pressure and blah blah blah...but the impeller. It is actually different? Got these views from Summit Racing's site in the 360* view.
Here is the GMP OE Style pump..
And here is the GMP Performance pump..
They claim, "These GMB...
Ya, I am thinking that's just the GMB-110-1080 model because they have a performance line of pumps (with the P on the end) and an OE style line (without the P)..
I didn't think about that.. I suppose I could always insert one of those spring shaped support inserts inside the tube so it doesn't...
I want the cheapest price. I've already found it for $209 shipped (IF THAT'S THE CORRECT PART NUMBER?). Better than $235 he has it for. You can pay extra for the customer service, but I don't need it..
I read that in this thread. They aren't showing anything on their site. Tried giving them a call just to be sure, but they didn't answer. Must have been after hours. I doubt it though..
This write-up was very helpful in my XJ dana 44 build. I completed the job 2 nights ago with a detriot locker and 4.88 gears. This is not my first XJ 44 build (or xj 44 with detroit & 4.88's) but it's always nice to have a guide for a refresher, especially since it's been awhile.
However, there...
Alright, so I've had enough of searching.....
What model CSF do I need for my '97? I want the all-metal 3 row.
Dirk @ DPG is listing one as fits '91-'01 (all the open style systems)...but I see the 2671 is listed for '98-'01 elsewhere. I'm assuming this is the correct rad?
...noticed the...
Good heads up..I could shave the end off...this wouldn't stop me.
While I agree with you...and acknowledged the additional stress..the output shaft is that long from the factory. (I guess that is a bit more weight hanging out there with yoke and cv joint bolted the end of it.) I really liked...
I saw your build thread and that picture but you didn't mention where you got those plates from haha. Thanks for the heads up.
..I was a little concerned about bending an extended u-bolt plate, so I was planning some 2x2 rectangle stock positioned vertically, welded onto the top of the axle...
