The 140 replaced the 135. I used a 135 to build my XJ. From my control arms to bumpers, and crossmember. Its heavy enough do do just about anything if you have the juice going to it. I just picked up a used L-tec mig on ebay it runs on 110 and 220. So I have the best of both worlds now.
Climbing a hill wet with rocks. And just a few bounces of the front end with a bad tranny mount and too long of a spare front driveshaft. Im thinking that what caused it. When it first happend I thought it was an axles shaft. Till i started backing down the hill and seen the fluid in the creek...
No I didnt think of stiffing up the uni body. I got Angle iron to do it this winter. I havent noticed any difference in it not being done. But I am going to for the security of not ripping it off.

Its a reworked stock arm. I cut the stock arm off about 8" or 9" from the wedges. Boxed it in and then sleeved it with 2x2x1/4 square tubing.
Heres a pics of the steering. I sleeved part of the ford tie rod and part of the XJ tie rod with 1" id sch 40.
I extended my and put a johnny joint in. I didnt wriste them. Heres a few pics one of the arms and two flexed. More than enough for me. I dont think it would flex near as much without extending them and using a JJ. But I could be wrong. If you need more flex than that just wrist the passenger...

I havent driven my jeep since I sold my rear bumper. I havent fabbed a new one yet.
I had the same problem with mine. I didnt lose any steering radius from stock. So I just extended the steering stops. I found out the hard way that it needed done, when I stripped all the bolts out of the box.
