Stabilizers DO fix DW. It does not fix the loose/bent/broken/unbalanced/etc part that is causing DW, but it can remove the violent shaking (DW). Point is, sometimes it is easy to put a stabilizer on it then to change the component that is causing DW.

Oil Filter Service can also help you out.
