well the alternator was just replaced, battery has been there for awhile......and it was checked with a volt meter

Just had someone come look at the jeep and i have an odd question With the engine running it ran at about 12 volts......Now when i turned the air conditioning and lights on, it dropped 1 volt........why did it drop? is there a bad connection? 98 xj stock motor

its not the ujoint, its the top joint with the ball in it

ill check into those spicer joints

the ujoint is clicking and i believe its the seal thats leaking, around the star washer possibly

its a rugged ridge sye.......and no i didnt smack the driveshaft yoke

well my SYE install was a success, but it is leaking around the output shaft, everything was install correctly to the best of my knowledge........and number two, at the time of my install, i replaced the front ujoint.......and its already goin bad, why so early? its about a $20 ujoint, should i...

i plan to when i get paid

no when i was driving, the ujoint broke and tore off one of the tabs.........so every now and again it slips out a little and vibrates like a mofo

or better yet, take the rear shaft out, drive it around.......if no vibrations then it is ur rear shaft.........if thats the case then start with shims

still deciding if i want to shim the rear axel or not

they didnt have dex 4 so i had to use atf......and since ive tightened up the ujoint in the back and put it back in its place, the vibrations have gone down alot.......still a small vibration but its a worlds difference from what it used to be

And another thing, my 8.25 yoke only has a lip on one side, I noticed it after I blew a unjointed out on the road, is it only supposed to have one lip on one side or one on each side? Every one of them I've seen has a lip on each side
