    Looking for a winch

So I've read....Which is too bad, these are things that can be fixed very easily. Maybe I need to start my own company for the off road arena.

    Looking for a winch

Murphy is a good friend of mine, luck strikes again! STAY AWAY FROM NATES 4X4! I've been waiting for 2 weeks for the hardware to mount the bumper. I told him before the Labor Day weekend, I had this trip planned this coming weekend. The Sunday before the holiday I drove to pick up the bumper...

    Front Axle Options

I'm going to take it to a shop that actually works on lifted vehicles and get a second opinion. I'm also going to check the ball joints and make sure there's no issues there first, this axle did come from a junk yard after all. Also figured rotating the tires would be a good idea to try, they...

    Front Axle Options

Not looking for perfect but if they're all bent or damaged I'll take my chances with one at a fraction of the cost. In my opinion $300 is a lot for a used axle but with the lower miles this one had, I felt it was worth it.

    Front Axle Options

I looked at the ones on the NAPA website and I'm glad I was sitting down lol. I'm not going to spend $100's on ball joints. That's not really fixing the issue and without knowing if the outer C is bent or if the axle tube is bent really doesn't settle well with me either. I've also read that...

    Front Axle Options

He didn't specify just said it should be as close to 0 as possible. I'm just a little hesitant to throw hundreds of dollars in offset ball joints at a JY axle. I haven't called the JY yet so we'll see what they say.

Wow, I must still be sleeping. I meant camber, my apologies. They fixed the toe, I had it close but they got it dialed in. I put all new Moog steering parts on it with the ZJ tie rod.

    Front Axle Options

So bad news guys...went to get the truck aligned last night and the right front is toed in -1.8 degrees. So now it's time to make a decision, try returning the axle to the JY it came from or deal with it. I'm sure it'll chew up tires like no tomorrow and I'd like to keep it on the road not just...

    What are you towing with?

Yeah don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to have a pissing match just seeing if I'm missing something. I'll check out the condition of those factory tie downs and see if they're ok to use. I actually have the right type of hooks on the straps I have for it to work and I could also use the safety...

    What are you towing with?

I understand what you guys are saying, just want to be as safe as possible. I'm sure some of these jeeps traveled hundreds of miles that way from the factory but it still makes me nervous using that method out back. I'm also tying it down inside the footprint of the truck. So front axle tie...

    What are you towing with?

Right on but I will not tie down with the bumpers or unibody holes. Just personal preference. I tried googling around and searched multiple forums, couldn't come up with any pics of how guys do it.

    What are you towing with?

I know this is old but why start a new one.... Anyone care to inform me how you're strapping the rear axle? My 8.25 has a brake line running all the way across, leaving no where to wrap a axle strap around it. Was thinking about using the leaf spring top plate as a catch but would be curious to...

    Front Axle Options

I got the old D30 pulled Friday night. Started fresh early Saturday morning with a wash and degrease, then ran to town for replacement shock mounting bolts and incorrect UCA bolts that the PO slapped in there. Rusty metal primed it and finished with blacked hammered. Got it in and waited...
