    Sounds like for about $3000 after repairs you would have a decent XJ. My opinion, if you could buy it for $2300 it wouldn't be a bad deal if it has no unknown problems. Around here the 5sp wouldn't be a problem for the dealer. I do agree that a "regular joe" most likely wouldn't be interested...

    97 SE 2 Door 4X4 4.0 AW4 231 -- Had been looking for a project and this one came along, I couldn't pass it up. Only had 56k miles and was very well cared for. All for only $3500!:)
