I'm in the same boat, I have the D44 with 3.53 gears. So getting thick 4.10 gears will work in the same carrier as the 3.53? Can you post the rubicon link? Tks.

I just went thru this same thing a month ago. I replaced the intake/exhaust gasket, thermostat, radiator, hoses, water pump, and seals, i.e. oil pan, mains, valve, etc. Inspected/found/fixed two crackes on the exhaust manifold. I also degreased the entire engine area. Look for any wiring issues...

I just replaced my radiator out of my 4.0L w/AC. It was easy...but then again, I had the front clip off due to my engine swap. It would be a little extra work to take the front clip off, but sure worth savings a few hundred bucks, and saving your knuckles!

Curious, you said you got a code reading. Did you use a reader, or did you get an engine light? I'm having similiar issues with high heat after my engine change.

I just installed a 4.0l from a '92 HO into my '87 Renix. Accidently used the flywheel from the HO, XJ wouldn't hold timing. The flywheels look very similiar at 11 o'clock at night!:confused1 It will run with the incorrect flywheel, very rough.

Change my invitation to a probaly not this go around. And it's not because the XJ isn't ready. I'm confident that you guys wouldn't harass me if I pulled up in my TJ. The main reason is I had my daughter in the hospital for two days this week, and we are just getting back into the swing of...
