boggers are the best in deep mud. but, they suck for steering. and suck for on road. thier laterial stability sucks. ltbs are better for the front....laterial stability is there...so you can turn, or better yet, not slide off sideways! so, if it's hardcore....do boggers in back, ltb's up...

you're problem is the trailer spindle has to mount vertical. blocks your tailgate. not a problem on a wrangler...you need a flush mount hinge that is strong enough to support a tire and wheel bouncing up and down on a jeep. and a way to attach it without it breaking off in the middle of nowhere...
