It was a bit intimidating, but after I took the time to actually understand all of the wiring, that part was a breeze. I ended up just unplugging the BCM, and my courtesy lights went back to normal. Seems to me like maybe the BCM is sending out it's own courtesy light signals over the CCD bus...

Same thing happened to me! It was only after I wired in the BCM though, I think maybe the BCM is conflicting the RKE. Did you ever figure this out? Huge thanks to the OP for doing the hard part for me. holy crap.
