    Please Help If you Can

Across the country from you else I’d be happy to have a couple slices of your pizza and a couple drinks and turn some wrenches.

    steering overhaul

I had Tera knuckle on my Dana 30 from 2005 or 2006 to 2013. Unfortunately looks like all pictures are lost. @CRASH helped me/did it for me. We used GE large tie rod ends on tie rod and drag link and I never had to replace them. Panhard was a cut and straightened Rubicon Express bar, the good one...

Neophyte - need Transfer Case/Lift advice

If you did not have driveline vibrations after the lift and before the transfer case (transmission crossmember) drop, you can remove the drop and restore belly clearance. I am guessing that the “speedometer issue” was someone else’s guess that the cable would be too short for a dropped...

    Tire Choice LT or P

For the spare? It keeps the hatch from rattling…. For the rest, not really for how I use it. It could probably use a little trimming in hidden areas or slightly extended bump stops, which are cheap and easy.

Please Check my Axel Shafts..What do you think?

Those are emergency spares. Are they from 1985 with the small u-joints anyway?

    Tire Choice LT or P

A worn 245/75r16 just barely fits in the stock spare area with an extended bolt.

    Tire Choice LT or P

Funny, I have a BDS 3” on my 1989 Wagoneer. With 16s it seems most tires with AT or MT tread are going to be load range E, stiff and heavy. I do have 245/75R16 because I got hooked up with old TJ Rubicon wheels. I’d get LT tires or load range C (or higher).

    Specific Moab Wheel On XJ

Measure the wheels that you have and get spacers that are long enough for the hub studs to not bottom out on the back face of the wheel, and try for somewhere around 4.25”-5.25” net backspacing (wheel BS minus adapter thickness).

    Wheelbase adjustment issue

Have you checked with a non-movable point like the center of the lower ball joint, to eliminate any variation caused by the wheels being less than straight? It will not be the same 101.3” nominal factory wheelbase but it would be consistent.

    Wheelbase adjustment issue

You wrote before that you are measuring on the floor, with strings. What are your reference points on the tires, hubs, or axles?

    Wheelbase adjustment issue

What is the center to center length on the arm as installed on each side?

    Wheelbase adjustment issue

For clarity, is your wheelbase short or long? Or one of each?

I can't believe my battery still works

My August 2022 Costco battery crapped out over the winter. Similar short little 5 minute local roads drives, then sat from the beginning of December through the new year and it wouldn’t even click the relays. I gave it a good charge last week and it seems to be back. I am trying to make it a...

    AJs Offroad Armor

@XJ_ranger and I were just wondering last weekend if AJ’s armor is still in business as the website still shows ~2018 prices for rock rails. Excited to see what you find out.
