time. I built some brackets for the coil rail since its just been held on by the spark plugs for the last 2 years out of some stuff i found at the hardware store
Then i built the bracket for the air compressor out of some more metal i found at the hardware store and picked up a basic hose kit...
Yeah these were pretty frozen i tried a screwdriver and a prybar, the fact that the pads were just about metal on metal might have had something to do with it. Compressing the brakes eas something i overlooked while swapping this rubicon axle in and used what i had

Just figured this out and wish I'd have known about this before
Your gonna need to remove your brake pads unbolt your caliper and get to where the knuckle is free
Then place your caliper with the piston facing down and put your jack underneath the piston on the knuckle
Now you have a...
I added some bumper lights and just took the 8.8 into the shop to be built, i did the c clip eliminator and as much work as i could at home before i dropped it off. Its getting an ARB, 4.88s and chromolly shafts.
I went with the single ARB compressor and right now im in the process of fabbing...
I got a welder for christmas and learned what i could on the internet to fix the dent for both welding and bodywork and the repair came out decent, the body line wasnt 100% straight and Paint wasnt a good match so ill end up fixing it later down the line but for now i thought it came out okay...
My bumper came in. I went with the Vangaurd PreRunner from JCR and finally got to install the winch thats been sitting on my coffee table for the last year. Im very pleased with how it came out

Yeah those were my thoughts too shooter, i feel like cutting the rear corner takes away from the bodystyle and iconic look of an xj and looks funky unless you do the custom bumler like you were saying.
1500$ for the rubicon 44, less than it would have cost in parts to have a geared, selectable...
I guess i went went with the advance adapters SYE lol disregard the last post,
So i ended up settling on an 06 rubicon dana 44 for the front axle. Axle is in good shape with fresh 4.88's, New Seals, Sleeved with the OEM Air Locker.
According to my research i can get the compressor they used...
Well iv got some more done now, ordered the JCR vanguard prerunner front bumper and it should be here in a couple days and bought a used jcr rear bumper.

So i wanted to the cut the fenders more than the aftermarket fender flare market supported and had to go back and unbend my cut and fold job to keep it street legal for now. I stayed up for 2 nights trying to find a flare that would be bolt on without spending weeks in the shop so i could enjoy...

Thanks man, painting can definitely be time consuming and i put it off until last as well but knowing it was the last thing to do kind of helped. This is the only thing iv actually spent the time to sand down the primer and finish up with 2000 grit but since its kind of the main thing you see...
