I just had the same problem this week, again. 3 shock changes in the life of my jeep and I broke all 4 the first time (drilled out and tapped), 3 the second time (drilled out 2, knocked out one and welded a nut back into place to use) and all four this last time. I used an air hammer to "pop"...
I have had driveshaft yoke to muffler interference when I pulled a few trailers that were loaded down pretty good. This is with the stock muffler. I have recently put a flowmaster 50 series in and it is about 1" narrower than stock and looks to clear fine, but I havent really put it through...
I need to have my front axleshaft u-joints replaced and seals done. I know I could do it myself over a weekend or something, but I am busy with work and I would consider dropping it off somewhere to have it done. Does anybody know any reputable shops for this in the Grand Rapids, MI area? Or...
Swamper TrXus Mud Terrain in a 34 x 12.5 x 15. I have 6 so one to spare for somebody. Good shape, normal wear, some chips in the lugs, but nothign major. Would make a great spare if you run 34's. About 40% tread left. I am located near Grand Rapids, MI. $75.
Thanks for the info. I will probably just machine one at my work (I work at a machine shop. I was a bit curious why you chose aluminum (it is an aluminum plate, correct?) vs. steel. The aluminum plate will heat up and expand about 3x as much as the cast iron...but I guess in this case the...
Summitracing.com part #DCC-4529885. These are mopar performance roller-rockers for a 4.0 at what seems to be a very resonable price. Is this the real deal?
My driveshaft is dangerously close to my stock muffler with my 8.8. I know its far fetched, but is your driveshaft rubbing against your muffler? Other than that, check your angles.
I picked up a cheap set of manifolds from a 2001 wrangler (same as the XJ's in 2001) and I am going to check out the port mis-match. I hear that the 7120 heads respond well to port work and flow the best out of all the years. I hope i can make it work. I will post pictures when I get the stuff...
I have just recently joined the cracked 0331 head club. I have a 2001 Xj with 85,000 miles. It sounds like I made it longer than most. I picked up a head a while back for next to nothing. Its a '95 I belive (7120 casting) and it has been cleaned and checked by a machine shop, so I am good to...
I have a set of "used" rear shocks. They are the rusty's hydros that are for 6" of lift. I have relocated shock mounts on my axle and these were just a bit too long. They were put on and driven for about road 100 miles. I checked the flex on them as soon as the weekend hit, and they are too...
I have a used Dana 30 Ring & Pinion gearset. They came from a low-pinion dana 30 front out of a 2001 jeep cherokee. They have about 45,000 miles on them. Would make a great spare set or replacement. No abnormal wear or broken teeth. $10 + shipping. Can arrange pickup in the Grand Rapids...
This is a mopar roof ski rack. Mounts to the factor roof rack rails, and has a lock & key for security. This was purchased brand new quite a few years ago and never installed. It is still brand new. I am cleaning out the pole barn. This used to retail for $180 from the dealership. $80+...
