Thanks man, that link is super helpful! My original transfer case was a 23 spline from a 1999 XJ, and the replacement that I got for the shell and other parts was also a 23 spline but 1996 or older because it had a synchro on the drive sprocket.
I did notice that the input gear shaft lengths...
Also, I haven't driven the truck with the front driveshaft in yet. If that makes a difference at all, I'm just waiting on parts to rebuild it too. :banghead:
So I just did a full rebuild and SYE install on my NP231 transfer case. I actually got a whole new (used) transfer case and used it for the case mostly. My original one blew up, blowing the case apart.
So I got another NP231J (a 23 spline the same as my original) and used the case, chain, and...
Haha! Thanks for the input! I'm gonna go with Deaver coils for sure and save up for a set of leafs too. I kind of knew all along thats the answer I was going to get, but I just wanted to be sure. :yap:
Maybe I missed it along the way, but what rear leaves is he running? The ones in the first post look like Deaver F31s from a Ranger? Trying to find info on how/if those fit since I can get a set of those for a good price. Thanks!
I do know they are the best options, but definitely not the cheapest. Maybe I'll just go for the Deaver Coils for now and get my front end setup right. Save up for some Deaver leaf packs, maybe I'll come a cross a good alternative to get my rear end done sooner and more on a budget.
I've done some research and have seen a few older threads with guys saying that Deavers or custom leaf packs are the only way to go for a Jeepspeed/Prerunner build. And I've read a lot of mixed opinions on front coils too. But its been a few years and there are some more spring options out...
Good to know, I'm in the market for shocks for my Ranger build and my Jeep close behind it... I would definitely hate spending any money with FOA just to regret it. I use my trucks pretty hard, I'll definitely go with something quality
I've looked all over and still cant find an answer... My passenger side upper control arm mount folded in on itself so I got a new one to weld on. Does anyone know where to position the mount? I bought the Artec Industries UCA mount for a TJ (which i think is the same anyways) and their...
So today I adjusted and tightened both the track bar and drag link him joints I put on and replaced the lower track bar bushing. All of those things tightened up the steering even further, but didn't completely get rid of my death wobble :bs: Then I added a steering stabilizer and now it is...
