    Wanted: White early model door

2 grey stripes would be fine. I've seen probably a dozen of the perfect door since the dent... Sadly all have been attached to Jeeps driving down the road. My Jeep is otherwise clean enough, I feel like it's worth holding out for the right door: https://photos.app.goo.gl/hrHKNFcS1S6Jn2tn2...

    Wanted: White early model door

Slid into a tree on a trail and put a crease in my rear passenger door. Looking for an early model, white door, grey lower trim (Laredo, not Limited) with the grey/red pinstriping preferably. Crank window preferred, but I'll take what I can get.

    WANTED: Hockey pucks before weekend

I just picked some up at Big5 Sporting Goods. More expensive than online at $4/ea, but instant gratification of local pickup. Google says there's one in Tacoma: Lincoln Plaza, 2505 S 38th St, Tacoma, WA 98409

    A shocking question...

If Bilstein made a short body 7100 10" with a stem mount - this thread would have never started ;) But the point is still valid - this thread should be closed.

    A shocking question...

I never once claimed a lack of intelligence on the part of any individual who replied to this thread. Nor did I make any assumptions about the background, career, etc of anyone. In fact on multiple occasions, I pointed out that individuals provided useful information and in the case of CAL...

    A shocking question...

And just because I'm pretty proud of my half rate engineering school... http://mazur-events.de/fs-world/C/ Looks like they're currently ranked number 1 in the world.

    A shocking question...

I'm not certain, but your comments seem as though an attempt at a personal attack. If I'm mistaken, please let me know. For the record, in my year (2010) we were not A top team. We were THE top team - at the competition you judge at. Was the car perfect? Not even close. I suspect it was...

    A shocking question...

Formula here. Oregon State University "Global Formula Racing". If designing and building an open wheeled race car and competing in Michigan, California, the UK, Germany, Austria and Italy isn't a race team I'd hate to hear what you have to say about Jeep speed guys...

    A shocking question...

Haha, agreed! And while I have some of the tools it's more a question of space when it comes to deciding to start doing even simple fabrication out of my garage. With the autocross Mustang, two motorcycles and 5 bikes already in the garage - there isn't much room for more! There's also the...

    A shocking question...

Shock body shouldn't be an issue since most of the shocks I'm looking at mount body side up. Still might not be enough room though. I did stumble across this image however. It's from a teraflex (TJ) LCG pro lift kit. Seems like something like this for our lower mounts would be a sweet solution...

    A shocking question...

Just a thought, but has anyone considered enlarging the hole in the stock bar-pin mount and using JKS-style bar pin eliminators on the bottom? It wouldn't provide the amount of extra room shown in the mounts you linked to, but would remove the need for a lower bar pin & provide an extra 3/4" or...

    A shocking question...

Have any images of the upper conversions you mention? The only ones I've seen have been adapters or required extensive modifications. I'd be happy to go with 7100 short bodies - if the mounting issue was easily solved.

    A shocking question...

That in and of itself is not. But it does tell me that 10" of travel is possible in a 14" compressed length shock. Right. So if they can built a shock as Bilstein does, but put a stem mount on one end - I can have my 10" travel shock in a 14" compressed length. Compressed length at a minimum...

    A shocking question...

As CAL previously pointed out, that may be true for Fox/King/etc, but Bilstein makes a 7100 short body 10" travel with a 14.21" compressed length. The issue with Bilsteins is that they do not come with a stem mount - using an adapter would only further limit my compressed length. What I'm...

    A shocking question...

Good to know on bumpstop compression. Seems like I'll need to do enough extending to ensure I can at least get a 14" compressed length shock to not bottom out. I had planned on doing prothane inserts - I'll have to account for that when I start into that project. That's exactly where they hit...
