Doing front Brakes, any good tips?

Simple tips, I'd always replace a rotor if it looks bad, they're pretty cheap to begin with so it's cheap insurance that you haven't taken off too much material. Uneven wear between the inside and outside pads is a good indication that the caliper bolts are not sliding smoothly. Take em out...

    POOR vaccum

On my old jeep I would loose vacuum at WOT on hot days. Turned out for me that the heat softened a (non OEM) vacuum line. The line would collapse under vacuum presure and I would loose vaccum pressure to the vent system. Just one Idea.

    Hub removal for U-joint replacement

Big Thanks for this tip! I had to do a u-joint today, I used this tip and was utterly amazed at how easy the whole job went. Not only that the entire job could be done with my on-board car tools! (2000 sport)

Random rough running... What is going on?

Sounds similar to problem I had on my older jeep, check wireing to the fuel pump ballast resistor in the engine compartment, and also ground wire in the panel behind the stock tire carrier location.

    Wanted '00 front bumper ends

Sombody damaged my passenger side front bumper cap while I was parked at the store. I'm not sure if it's even worth fixing, but my jeep is still new to me so it kinda irked me. Anyone have the one, or a set in "glossy black" to fit a 2000? (good condition only) Free or cheap would be nice. Thanks

    Fuse Block- Big Problems! help!

I had just about the same problem in my 92.What caused the short was the rear window defogger circuit. Like mine it's obvious that there is alot of current running through your tail light wireing. In mine you could feel the heat in the wires. I found the short in the rear hatch. Pretty much all...

    head removal/valvejob

I just did some work on my head (???) a little while ago for the first time. Tips that I would pass on are. Look, see what works for you. When you pull the head some people leave the manifolds on, some take them off. Figure out what works best for you. The head and manifolds are bloody heavy...

    Downpipe gasket leak?

Donut gasket is stock, with a replaced header you use a different gasket. You can always try a new gasket. The hardest part of the job would be breaking the bolts free, but if you can already tighten them they should be free already. It's easy for a parts shop to match the old gasket if you...

    checked my compression, bad news.

For anyone interested this is how things turned out. I did the work last weekend, 7 hours the first day to pull it all apart and clean the gasket surfaces, and another 7 hours the next day to put it all back together again. I pulled the head and manifolds together, using 4 * 500lb ratcheting...
