Small engine fire. Replacing whole exhaust system now.

Wow $330 is a little expensive for a computer! We found a wire harness for a 2001 manual trans XJ with out ABS. But its for one with CA emissions. So I don't think it will work. We also found one for a 99 without CA emissions, but that's not a coil pack harness, so I'm not sure that will work...

    Steering box /pitman arm help.

Ok so I have an odd problem. I have a 2001 XJ with the stock steering box. It still works good, so I'm not replacing it just yet. My problem is the pitman arm. It has a drop pitman arm on it right now. But I need to change it. I have a D44 front axle. It came out of a 77 Chevy. (Yes I know...

    Hot start problem.

Never had any problems with a properly working e-fan. I have yet to have a vehicle with a clutch fan that did not fail. I will look in to the timer. That does seam like it may solve my hot start problem. As for the clutch fan I have run them on every Jeep I have ever had with 0 problems. As...

    Hot start problem.

Clutch fans suck. They sap power and MPG. And this one is already failing. It was replaced with a new one about 12k miles ago. There is a reason no new car uses a clutch fan any more. I replaced the O2 sensors to try and fix 2 problems. This hot start problem. And I was getting an O2 sensor...

    Drive belt squeal.

OK so I am sure there are no bearings failing. It can sit and run for ever and it will make no noise unless the A/C comes on. BUT, it will stop doing it if you bring the revs up. And its the belt for sure. Belt is new. Nothing on this Jeep leaks. (I know. unheard of right! LOL) The pulleys are...

    Hot start problem.

Ok sounds like an easy fix. I'm planing to go to an E-fan to replace the stock clutch fan any way. Its failing. Just not 100% sure how I am going to go about it just yet. I wrapped the entire fuel rail in heat wrap today. But did not do any of the injectors. This seamed to help a little bit...

XJ erratic idle and ECU issues

Remove the IAC valve and clean it out. Its probably just gunked up. While you are at it clean the throttle body up real good and it probably would not hurt to run some seafoam threw it ether. Should fix your problem.

    Drive belt squeal.

Ok so I have a problem with my drive belt slipping. I know why its doing it. But am not sure how to go about fixing it. The problem is that the last owner parked the Jeep for almost a year. And all the pulleys rusted. I did my best to clean them with a wire brush. But I do not drive this Jeep...

    Drop pitman arm?

Thank you for that info! It was vary helpful. I am no longer trying to fix this problem tho. I decided to sell the axles and the wheels and tires and use a set of built axles I already own that have air lockers in them. The entire steering and suspension system on this thing is coming off. And...
