drove through an awesome windstorm last night.

Got more damaged goods staged-up for build-phase III: Dana 44 axles front & rear.
CIMG0556.jpg

Rear will be a factory xj axle modified for 5 on 5.5" lugs to match the front hubs. Front will be a f-150 high-pinion axle narrowed to 61", with brackets for the standard 4-link coil suspension.

Nice are you using ford or Chevy knuckles.

Put in my new plexiglas rear windows from KEL-TECH Plastics in Tacoma. $60 for both precut and ready for install (cheaper if you get clear).

Where is the COOLER!!

Got the durango pitman arm off & my zj one on and everything buttoned up lastnight. Got the alignment today and I'm good to got. :)

Picked up some basic recover gear, 30' strap, snatch block, some clevises, and a clevis mount hitch, for my reciever. I think the last thing I need before I'm "legal" to attend NAXJA group runs is a fire extinguisher :eeks1:

Probably going to be a high-steer with Ford Super Cab knuckles to keep the 5 on 5.5" hubs. I need to review information on other builds and swaps until a steering solution that makes sense pops out of the noise.
The only firm decision I've made so far is to relocate most of the factory stuff, as shown in the picture below.

Pulled the oil pan for modification. Needs additional clearance at the front for the track bar and upper steering stablizer mount.

Had to pause a bit and admire all that forged 4-bolt main goodness ...

Yesterday joe put in my new hp non-disco 30(3.55's) and 29 spline 8.25(3.55's). Cut and folded the rear quarters and put some 33x12.50's on it. Also removed rear sway and flushed the rear brakes. Now just need to flush the fronts. Maybe I'll go buy that manual bleeder today...

Sent from your subconscious without you knowing.....

this is all ive done lately. with pics. cutting, axles, wheels/tires, shackles in rear(stock up front), bumper & hilift...

The ground is not level where its parked in the pics, which is why it appears to not be level all the way around. in reality its pretty much dead on.
