WTS: 98 Sport XJ

Hey guys, I am considering selling my 98 Cherokee Sport. I want a new one with a good lift that can still be used as a daily driver. Willing to trade and put cash down on the right one.

My Jeep has about 180,000 Miles on it and is completely stock. It is the 4.0L Inline 6 engine. It's standard transmission with a good clutch.

I have had no issues with my Jeep AT ALL since I got it. Only considering selling it because I want one with a bit lower miles and a small but decent lift. I just moved to Colorado and wanna have something with more off-road capability.

I don't have pictures yet as I have only been pondering the thought of selling but I plan on getting some up tomorrow. The body has its dings and scratches but overall pretty good condition. The passenger side front fender was replaced before I bought it and is only painted with primer. The jeep is green.

I change the oil every 3000 miles religiously as I know the capabilities of this motor if taken care of and maintained.

Have had no issues with suspension or bottoming out whatsoever.

I am asking $2500 but will consider negotiations. Also (as I said earlier) will trade jeep as part of payment for the right rig.

let me know if you decide to sell.. my brother is looking for a stock jeep w/a manual.. ironically, he just sold his '99 manual w/a 3" lift, 31", sliders, and 120k miles! argh! woulda been a good opportunity for both you guys.

Just wheel it. Google for homemade swaybar disconnects, good tires, and a driver with experience it'll get ya by on a lot of trails. Come on out to COfest, a lot of the trails around Buena Vista can be done stock.

I really appreciate all the suggestions. I honestly had no idea people were cool with just meeting up and taking jeeps apart haha. Anybody who wants to hang out, drink some beers and look over my rig I'd be more than happy to. I'm new to the springs and would love to meet people as well as learn more about cherokees.

Lots of stocker to low build trails around. Just post up when ya wanna toss some parts on and see who can help out. Just chill and enjoy the rig man.

I have put some thought into it and I think I'm gonna take all of your advice guys....Gonna hold onto this bad boy and when I get some cash flow goin I'll put a post on here to see if anyone wants to hang out for a weekend and help me out.

just build it up.. theres always plenty of used/good upgrade parts for sale here.
