WTB exhaust manifold or header

I've got a brand new header in the box. The kind with the gussets & flex pipe to help prevent cracking. Its for 91+ and theres a gasket for it as well. 60 bucks takes it, or 50 & a farmer burger with extra pickle:D

I'm in pinion hills or palm desert depeindg the week. This week I'm in pinion hills/phelan.

Not sure the grand, its not a "performance" brand. I payed 115 on ebay for it. But its a high output header & I have a renix so it didn't work for me unless i got a different downpipe.
Short side they let me keep this header & sent me the correct one. So its just sitting.

ah, right on. i dont really care about the 'performance' aspect. its a jeep...i would have kept my mustang if i wanted go-fast lol :)

How far are you from San Diego? that might cost me a small fortune in gas lol

OK, so my header was cracked right down the middle, where you couldn't get a good weld on it. Here's what I did...
I took a Pepsi can (any can will do) and cut it up. I folded the metal about 5 times and smashed it with a hammer. I then put it into the gap at the collector and pounded it in there with a hammer and chisel (ok, it was really a screwdriver). It worked!
I have a good header sitting in the garage, but every time I look at pulling the old one off I think wait, let's see how long my hokey repair lasts.
Maybe tomorrow...

Love it! LOL

had a quick gander at it last night...turns out its not cracked, just a bad gasket. that's a relief. The motor is leaking oil like a damn siv though so i'm going to do a complete gasket/seal replacement on it in the not to distant future and will hit that up as well. on the bright side, i havent had to do an oil change considering the amount of leakage. lol

Desertjr, i'll hit you up in a little bit. looks like i'm moving in the next week or two so that's going to consume my time for a bit...until i can get the garage set back up again lol
