One around me wants 450 for the tranny and t case. That's without linkage and a lot of little things. He wants to nickel and dime me... I'm gonna call a few around me tomorrow but it makes it so much easier to get parts from someone who knows what they are doing and I get all the stuff

Wish you were in South FL. I'm parting out a 92 limited. The 8.25 is gone already. The tcase a 242. I'm asking $200 for both the AW4 and 242. Sold the 8.25 for a $100.

How in the hell are you supposed to drop a transmission without a jack?
pulling the tranny or "dropping" is the easy part, it can be done without a jack, however putting it back in is easier done with a jack.

Well seeing as how you can't use jacks at PaP I would love to know how. Especially on a rig probably sitting on it's frame rails hahaha
see, now it seems like your being a smart ass and assuming that I know the rules of your pick a part, I have never heard of the jack rule before at any PAP I've been too, I'm just trying to help you out, see around here all the vehicles are sitting up high like this:

and if not, being kind to the yard people running around in the forklifts usually gets you far, and if they are not gonna help you out, I would seek out another yard, I sure wouldnt spend my money at a yard giving me a hard time about getting a vehicle lifted to buy stuff from them. Remove bolts, add cribbing and pull.
It's not difficult.
OR
the prices are cheap enough... pay the guys sitting out there 50 bucks to pull it for you.

Let me see where this goes this week. I can tell he doesn't know quite as much as I do and I don't even know that much lol. He said the motor blew up in it and the t case has been "rebuilt and regeared" now I don't know what he means by that but it's all out of a 93. My SYE is waiting.
