WJ or XJ, doesn't matter much. Don't need the outers, even, though a complete beam would make life easy. Lemme know what you have & how much you'd like for it.
It's for a different vehicle. '57 chevy pickup. It could use disc brakes, tapered bearings, steering in front of the axle & ball joints instead of king pins. Cheaper / easier to swap in WJ axles, I think.
I have a 4x4 disco housing you can have that if you left it empty maybe you could treat it like a beam axle?, new XJ ball joints on it, but its just a housing. free. needs al the stuff. you can probably put outer stub shafts into the unit bearings to support them? I might have a stock diff cover somewhere too to go with it.
I may go there, Jon - haven't fully decided. Ideally I'd have a WJ 2wd front, right width right brakes & smooth beam. A 4x4 XJ front axle could work but I've got more money than time at the moment (if only just)
Thanks much for the offer
