.....in my neck of the woods this year. It NEVER, EVER snows before the closing weekend of trout season. Well not enough to make a difference. This Saturday was a different matter, however. Here's some pics from 6,600 feet, about a foot on the ground when we arrived at 8:00 am, and 17 degrees. Great time to be in the float tube (me) or in the canoe (brother and Dad). Everyone caught their limit of nice fatty rainbows.

Fly line get's a little stiff when its frozen inside your reel.

Next time in Reno

Next time I am in Reno (on business)I am going to need to look you up and have you show me around.

Not sure when that will be.

You told me before but I forgot, what town is "home" in. I think you said it was an hour, hour and a half from Reno?

Keith

PS Nothin tastes quite as good as fresh trout that grew up in its natural environment.

We're in Foresthill, which is about 90 miles from Reno. You ought to plan a business trip to Reno during the summer. We could pick you up and hit the Rubicon.
