started workin on my new inch bumper as a class project, and also decided to cut the rear quarters last week.

is there a zoom in feature because i cant see the dirt particles that clearly on your tires.

lol

looks real good and im very jealous of your welding abilities

that thing looks awesome, I'm ready to make my own... just need the metal and that's pretty much what I want it to look like. are you gonna put d-ring tabs on there? especially since the bottom is slanted in you won't have much to jack up on if you ever need to.
also why does it stick so far out on the side?
thanks.

i got some pieces of 6" x 2" by 3/4" thick that im gunna mount thru the bumper the front piece so i can fully weld it front and back fro my d-rings. also the sides are about 2-2.5" past the outsdie of the fenders so i have a place to mount some tube ( can u say EXO?)

oh very nice...
and I really like the idea of the exo....
planning ahead
:-)
when I build mine I want to tie in some tube fenders from the bumper to the rockers

very nice!!! that is how ive been wanting mine. i like how you kept the winch plate out of the way of the radiator. ive been wanting to build one. how thick is the steel to be strong enough but not too heavy?

got the bumper all built up and noe i just gotta get the winch. eventually when i do the exo (probly 3 months whe ni get outta school) ill put a bigger stinger on it. nah i dont have the measures anymore or anything

Wow, those are some BEAUTIFUL welds!! If that bumper is a class project, than what are you studying? If you're taking welding classes, you gotta be pretty high up on your instructors list, cause those are nice. I'd love to build a bumper like that, but All i've got is a MIG welder...and no idea how to use it.

How much material did it take to complete this project? and how far back did you go inro the frame rails?

WyoTech huh? Not you basic garage, back yard shop is it....lol i'm jealous

the whole bumper is made from 2' of 6" wide 1/4" for the mounts which are held on with 4 grade 8 7/16 th bolts and 5 10mm grade 10.9 on each side. the rest of the bumper is all 3/16 and boxed in the middle. its all from a 12" wide piece 12' long.

oh and by the way, those welds are nothing. hahaha i can bust out TIG welds like that all day with no problem. id rather TIG everything now
