who will weld for beer?

here is my situation...

my rig has been parked in my parents driveway since i left with no insurence and no licence tags. my steering wouldnt pass NC inspection and going off to college i figured this would be best.

now that summer is approaching, and im starting to get jittery from lack of wheeling,( i think i have been the uberest webwheeler this past year) i want to get it back on the road and am planning a few mods to it.

first off its going up to 6.5 inches hopfully long arms if i can find the cash-
because my lift height is getting a little high, and its already broke anyway i want to do an over-the-knuckle steering- i can get all the parts i need from online dealers but here is the catch- i have no way to put it together nor weld up a new bracket for the trackbar and such.

anyone in NC or the surrounding states want to help a brotha out let me know. it doenst have to be imediatly, i gotta find the cash to do this first but i cant go a whole nother year without a rig :flamemad:

i could probbly get it to statesville... it's in clemmons, a few miles down 40 in forsyth co.

what about if i brought just the front axle? that could be done easily...

you guys have a source of DOM tubing down there? or know of any around central NC?

im gonna order the threaded inserts and ends from somwhere, havent decided yet who, but tubing would be able to be easily found local

Got a place on hickory that sells it. But its not cheap. Like 5.00 a foot. You could just brong the front axle but pinion angle and stuff could get a litlle tricky.

am i missing some part of the process? how would we be changing the pinion angle?

Ok, I was thinkin you were biulding a new axle. Thats not that big of a deal. For that matter we can copy my long arms or get some mearements for them.

ok which part are we talking about now? the steering or the long arms? i am ready to do both. i just gotta know what parts to buy and small details like that :greensmok

Steering can just be bolted on. And we can use my jeep for mesurements. Unless your plannin on buying premade stuff. And longarms we can fab up. Get some tubing, weld in bungs, and some plate and round tubing, and heims and we can knock the arms out in a day. How are you plannin on attaching this stuff to the body. We gotta biuld a frame mount. I've got a 2nd gen rk right now and there mounts are easy and work well.
