Where do I look to find out what kind of Axel I have

Its an 85 Cherokee...Where do I look to find out what kind of Axel I have??

Unless it got swapped out I'm pretty sure you have a Dana 35.

You should have a Dana 30 front and a Dana 35 rear.

You can check the gear ratio by looking at the tag on the differential on the front axle.

Take the last 2 numbers and divide them. My last two are 41-11.

If you divide 41 by 11 you get 3.72727 or 3.73 gears from the factory.
