Do you think these will fit my 1996 XJ without rubbing?

That size tire (29") should fit, no rubbing.... r those wheels the same XJ bolt pattern?....if not, they won't bolt up.

They should...I have 245/70-16's on my 2000 and they fit fine.

Yep, should fit without rubbing.....that's also a 29" tire.

Those look like WJ wheels to me...and if that's the case, they won't fit on without adapters. http://www.wjjeeps.com/wheels.htm

as was said. The tires will fit without rubbing. The wheels will NOT fit without adapters. They are WJ wheels and have the 5X5 lug pattern where your XJ is 5X4.5 lug pattern.
