i have to pull the whole assembly from one in the junkyard.will any yr around 94 work?ive been looking at replacement procedures and it seems the plug changed at some point.
I know that the motor and trans from an 89 will fit a 93, because I've done that swap, but after a number of years I do not now remember whether I had to replace the connector. Mechanically there's no difference, but the plugs may have changed.
I didn't realize that about TeamCherokee. I looked up a replacement motor on Rock Auto and came up with Cardone part number 40438. That's a little confusing as well as sinec which shows the following.
That sounds like anything from 1992-1999 will fit, since all of the other year choices are simply because jeep couldn't keep things the same from year to year with the trim levels. the weird part is that 1991 comanches would be different than 1991 cherokees (which aren't listed)
