well as some of you saw at the meet and greet i was sporting the new dd, 96 4x4 auto, cruise (that works :greensmok) ac blows cold, power everything!
i bought it around spring break and havent stopped working on it since(therefore the other jeep has been neglected :D)

here it is after i washed her, after washing those wheels once, i decided they were trash :gonnablow

and after some slight mods following the week after i got her
4" front RC coils, 4.5" front shocks, old set of skyjacker lowers, raised rear shock mounts (to keep the cheep stock rear shocks) old add a leaf rear pack and a 2" lift block, 1" homemade drop tcase, 32" terra grapplers on 16" blackrock wheels.

and as for the neglected jeep
the front cap/gay front bumper had all they could handle and i decided to start a rebuild of the front after finally finishing the rear
i added a front clip off of a late modal xj. i got a new hood, fenders, nose piece and all the lights. should make it look alot better as long as i build a good enough bumper.

as for my bumper plans i am leaning towards cutting out the old xmember and sinking my winch under the grill, backed up to my steering box brace. the new xmember will be the bumper (i also run the M.O.R.E steering support as well as the RE trac bar brace as well as the M.O.R.E bombproof motor mounts with heavy duty motor mount brackets). ive already got the frame brackets for it as well as a majority of the steal. im also gonna bend up some tube to protect the header real good.

old crap

what worries me the most is. through out my "wheelings" these past two years the front has taken some HARD hits and the drivers frame is pushed up. i "should" be able to straighten this to help the longevity of the jeep. you can see how bad it is in one of the pics. notice the drivers side higher than the passenger side. if any of yall have pointers on this lemme know!

i also relocated my stock shifter. i raised it and mounted it. it is ALOT more comfortable shifting it when strapped in. i also modded it to allow me to grab reverse quick to keep from rolling. (notice my sweet cooler mount

ive also got to pull the exhaust manifold and reweld and clean up the jeep. as well as re grease everything.

Your Claws are pointing the wrong way.. i know you think .. oh, it ll dig more like that. but really whats happening is that its not helping that much.. They were designed to run Directional. They were set up like that to clear mud, wear even and reversing the tread might seem like a good idea but you re not running it sand or dune racing..
my opinion only.

ive been running my claws like that for 3 years. and at 8psi they grab the rocks alot better in reverse than they do forwards. as for the mud thing. they clean just fine as i hardly ever go in mud. they never see the road so im not worried about them wearing.

ive also run the procomp xterrain backwards and they also perform better on the rocks in reverse.

if i drove that jeep on pavement then yes i would run them the opposite way.

Your DD is a clean Jeep, the back-halved XJ is awesome, I need to grow a pair and chop mine. I have the same wheels that you had on your DD, I washed them once and have not done it again, they suck to clean!

Seeing everyones stickers identifying there forum name, I suppose its time I get those made... Anyone know how much I should expect to pay for 10 of them? Just so I don't run out Lol. XJFREAKHO in orange letters about the same size as his 256 Offroad letters
usually if you get just letters that are the same size font/color where they can print off a huge sheet of stickers it makes it cheap.

thats what i did.... except i got some little ones made and some windshield stickers made for guys in our local club that i formed (256offroad)

so which xj is going to the crawl? the cut up one or the "cute" one.. lol

Mind sharing with me how to actually make these? Or if you could make them for me I would gladly pay for them.

Something kind of like this, but Im thinking like, 4 inches tall and 12 inches wide or whatever? Just big enough to fit it and have it readable. Clear background.

i actually had a local sign shop make them.

i basically told them what i wanted it to say and they had a book with all the different fonts and letters and suck to choose from.
