what happened to my "your lights are on moron" tone?

That is the first thing I rip out of my vehicles!

If only I had a brain, I might do the same!!

No matter how annoying the buzzer/beeper/chime may be, it's far less annoying than leaving the headlights on overnight (repeatedly) or locking my keys inside (repeatedly)... both of which have been avoided "many a time" because of the buzzer/beeper/chime......

I guess I'm one of the morons it was designed for!! :)

The P/N for the blue module is SF 895600 1076 (the black one is -1077 I believe). The only difference is there is an extra pin in the blue module for the headlight circuit (#8). The black one doesn't have one.

I have an 88 and have not riped out any buzzer hardware and have no buzz. I forget all the time and would not mind having a buzzing noise when the lights are on and the key is out.

I have a pretty inexpensive and really easy solution to the annoying buzzer. I got sick of mine after one day, and ripped it out. However the very next day I left my lights on for like 3 hours at work. Get a 12VDC pizzo buzzer from radio shack. Approx. $3. Actually...anything you want as a reminder will work. LED light, chime, anything that operates off 12V. Some of you may know this already but here goes. Find your instrument panel light fuse. Usually a 5A fuse. Insert the red wire from the buzzer into it. Your local parts store has these neat little inserts that you put in with the fuse that allows a spade connecter to be attached.
Now...with your ignition off, and your lights on, touch the black wire to the top of any other fuse, until you hear the buzzer go off. Attach the black wire to that fuse. Youre done. Now anytime your lights are on without the key being on, it will buzz. As soon as you turn your ignition key, it will go off. You can do one of these for pretty much anything that you can happen to leave on by accident. Ill try to attach a pic of the buzzer I got. Not really annoying, but just enough to remind me to hit the switch.

This product used to come packaged from 3M actually. I think its been discontinued. Let me know if you do it and how you like it!

Actually here is the link to the part at Crap Shack.
