what does this sensor do???

ok I am a little confussed as to what sensors are where, I will say I DO know where the following are, TPS, MAP, EGR, CPS, KNOCK, IAC, O2, and IAT.

On a 90 6cyl AW4...

My issue is that what is down just above the drivers side motor mount on the side of the block, and what what does it do?

Also, IF I need to check the engine \temp sensor, which one is it? I need to replace/check the one for the ECU.

On the driver side block there is the knock and the coolent temp sensor.

Coolant temp should be on the front of the block at the thermostat housing.

EDIT: Nevermind, confused it with aux. fan temp sensor.
