What Do YOU Need to Get Done Before COFest?

Figure it was about time to get this thread rolling

Myself:

- Get the electrical finished up on the buggy
- Get the panels for the buggy finished up
- Get some leaks taken care of
- Get Airbake Pans installed under passenger floorboard
- Get some goodies put on the tow rig
- Get my removable, drive over fenders done on the trailer
- MAYBE, just MAYBE get a Jeep for the girlfriend to wheel

1. Working on finishing up my teardrop offroad trailer.
2. Finish repainting the rig
3. Finish installing the AFR gauge and the new map adjuster.
4. Finish boring the Renix throttle body and making a butterfly plate.

I guess I can add to my list with the new rig for the girlfriend :laugh:

- Get BDS side plated mounted on the crossmember
- Get front shocks mounted (need to get some BPE's fabbed)
- Repair Passenger Side brake line
- Bleed brakes
- Fix Passenger side floorboard
- Clean/install rest of interior
- Get front bumper mounted
- Mount swaybar/swaybar disconnects
- Get battery hold down
- Maybe new rear shocks

I'm sure there's more I haven't thought of/discovered yet.

What does everyone still need to get done?

For my jeep
Gotta get bumpers done, axles swapped in, hyd assist done, bump stops, limit straps, mount stuff in the bed(coolers fire extinguisher ect) mount the suspension seats and harnesses. Make the doors removable,
a couple shake down runs! Paint if time allows!

Also gotta get a bumper built and a few other things done to donate for the raffle!

Ugh seems like a lot!

It looks doubtful I will be there this year. We bought a house and they have pushed back the closing so we will be moving at that time.

Oil change, lube, and acquire & install a front locker and I should be ready.

Sounds like my list :laugh:

I've finally decided the girlfriends rig isn't going to make it this year. Too much to do (mainly bodywork) that I don't want to skimp on. That and since it was in an accident, I don't want to make it's first trip out a 2.5 hour drive, especially when I'm not the one driving it.

For the buggy:
- Find/fix oil leak
- Remount skids
- Finish interior (just waiting on my new mini amp to arrive today)
- Get skins finished, prepped, and painted
- Try and get a roof panel done
- Charge ORI's
- Make Steering truss skid
- Re-seal rear diff
- Try and get rear pinion to truss tie in done
- Adjust fan controller

For the tow rig:
- Clean the dang thing out
- Transmission fluid change (manual tranny...runs ATF)
- Install gauges
- Get spare tire mounted on wheel

Luckily it looks like I'll be "working" from home from now until then, so it gives me some time to knock them out.

Still gotta finish up the raffle bumper, should have that done tomorrow,
Gotta fix the wife's ZJ so she has something to drive while I'm gone,
Brakes on the tow rig, register and insure the MJ and tow trailer, rewire the trailer, get alignment and mount the krawlers, find a winch. Build bumpers for me and for Led!

Well, thankfully I've had last week and this week off (due to my new client site not being ready for me yet).

I've gotten pretty much everything done for the most part.

So far:

For the buggy:

- Get skins finished, prepped, and painted
- Try and get a roof panel done
- Charge ORI's
- Make Steering truss UHMW skid
- Re-seal rear diff

For the tow rig:

- Transmission fluid change (manual tranny...runs ATF)
- Install gauges

After tonight, all that should be left is cranking on getting some skins done.

Interior is wrapped up, and now I've got tunes and heated seats to boot

Still need to do some minor things like charge the ORI's so it sits level, but that can be done in camp pretty quickly if need be.

I'd still like to get my gauges in the truck done, but skins are a bigger priority right now.

Nothing like never having done auto paint before, and going all in!

Oh, just a couple of things:





The rear axle is back together and the front axle awaits installation. Nearly done.

Dayum Fred...last minute there!

I've been cranking as usual.

- Body Panels painted
- Front steering skid/truss UMHW skid on (just got done with that about 10 minutes ago)
- Truck front LED bar wired
- Truck Tuner wiring cleaned up and fixed

Still to do:
- Paint cowl and cowl panel
- Sand/Buff a few runs out of two of the panels if time allows
- Try and make a roof panel
- Adjust ORI's and get tank filled
- Adjust trailer brakes
- Bolt on panels
- Little bit of loom work on the front headlights
- Probably a few other small things I'm not thinking of...

Should be able to knock most of all that out tomorrow, so that Friday is just a load up and go kind of day.

Progress. Although, being a space case, I forgot to adjust the rear brakes before taking the axle off the jackstands, despite listing all the steps in my head before starting.

I actually drove it about 4 miles, until I blew the drivers side front brake line on the way back from buying a gasket to fix the leaking rear diff. I definitely won't be going around corners fast with the rear spool in.

So:
brake line
brake bleed
rear diff
grocery shop
mow lawn
pack stuff
clean house.

I think I'll have another beer.

Nut and bolt, lube chassi

bleed brakes

Mount front seat

Stuff tagt will most likely happen at camp


Install front drive shaft

Install pinion guard

Electric cooling fan

Install winch



Holy crap that's a lot to do in 24 hrs

The heep is loaded, just need to throw the coolers on tomorrow. It actually does drive better since installing the new ball joints with 1.5 degrees of castor added. The YJ brake line required grinding on the caliper, and one should use both of the copper washers that comes in the package. One just doesn't work.
