Good find (FYI, that's what the axles usually run though)

Not really.. Their normal price for most yards is 100-125 for drum to drum. Then you add in calipers and your looking at 32$ more. then they have tax, yard eviro fee's adn some other fee on there, plus a stupid core charge of like 27$. so that price I paid included everything and since you dont get 1/2 off anything but parts that why it really isnt all that much less, but hey is helped. lol

drum to drum with calipers :D :D
Well from my experience the 50% off works this way: they take their regular price, they increase it and than they give you the discount ;) I paid for a D30 for the front (bare housing) $80. I found out later that if I kept the shafts and unibearings it'd be the same (it was an earlier D30 with different knuckles and unibearings so I didn't care). A fully loaded D44 with radius arms still attached ran $150 + tax + core (IIRC).

I know tell them that haha they only have one line item and then they add to it. thats why your D30 (which in miraloma was only 95 complete for me) was the same price either way unless you take the calipers also. Its odd but so are the people working there.

Negotiate with them! When I made the mistake of going during one of the 50% off weekends they wanted an arm and a leg for spare front shafts (more or less same as during a normal week). I had to talk them down from that price! (and I did :D)

Exactly, just make them sick of dealing with you.

I can picture it now "alright fine! please take the junk and just leave!"
