I can extend and retract with the remote but the stalk won't swing to free spool from gears engaged.

Took the end cap off, the lever still won't turn all the way and the internal components are rusted to hell. Winch is toast after 3 years.
Got the handle out...badly rusted...trying to PB the gears out.
So much for Warn quality.

So, I got it apart and it is rusted to all hell inside. Cleaned and greased it. Major problem to put it back together as everything sort of just hangs and won't line up unless it is up on end.
I got it to the point where I can extend and retract with the motor, the handle moves and disengages the motor from the gears, but when it is disengaged I still cant pull line off and I don't think it is bound up anywhere...I give up.

I think I might have over-greased it...I'm going to try to pull it off a tree and see if it will free-spool under pressure. So much for a sealed unit.
