Uwharrie 4X4Cross Festival ~ May 9-11, 2008

Check out www.americanwheeler.com for more details and to sign up to race (also if your a vendor interested in participating). This race is for stockers all the way up to unlimited class rigs, something for everyone! Here's a small synopsis.

Not sure if it's on NAXJA yet... and to save time from all the BS.. it's 100% legit, the USFS is onboard, etc. So please keep the it's never gonna happen stuff to yourself.

I am not affiliated w/ this just wanted to share it w/ NAXJA.

Sooo I'm running more stuff than allowed in the Stock class but too small of a tire (Well a 34") for the Mod Stock Class! WTF!

And BTW sorry I didn't see that page while surfin.

Basicaly Andy... if Chris can get into Mod Stock... you'll just be there for fun.

Ooh this sounds cool--I should be lifted by then and (hopefully) sporting a set of 31's...

Ah shush! I'm sure they're will be others there too! lol I'd be there for fun anyways! I got lots of crap to install before this happening...

I'm really close to taking it down there on 35's and beating the crap out of it... I need to bumpstop the front a little softer and then I wouldn't feel too bad about it getting off the ground...

Which 35s are you gunna run? I need to actually PUT some bumpstops on mine... I've got enough lift and not enough flex and small enough tires it doesn't hit anything... It would never hit the stops so I haven't worried about it.

Y'know something, I just realised I won't be here for this...b/c I'm going with a group of students at my college on a study tour to central and alpine europe for most of the month of May...that kinda sux too cos I was hoping to finally be able to actually wheel in my newly lifted and trail-ready Jeep...oh well.

OH DAMN!! I'm definately in! I may not win shit because it looks like I'll be forced to run Modified, but I'll give it hell. Sounds like a BLAST!

Chris, you should leave the traps on.....you really got me looking into a set of those expensive bastards......then if I snag a pair, we can be the twins out there running Modified together.

I hear ya.... They're fun but heavy beasts! my wheel/tire combo weighs 135#.. If I were you I'd also keep an eye out for a set of Sticky Creepy's... they're the same compound just a little different tread pattern...

I'm looking, but I'll need new wheels as well, so I may be stuck with just regular old BFG's for the time being. I might be able to scare up a set of Crawlers on a 15" wheel, but I donno. I'm waiting for an email back from the regs guys, but I got to thinking last night...coilovers really isn't all that different from stock, ya know? The rigs in the stock modified class have spring overs and crap like that, which if you think about it is not really a stock configuration, so maybe if I swap my steering back from full hydro to an inverted T for the race, I might be able to run stock modified.....and I still have that hydro assist box and ram sitting around on my work bench

53, what axles and bolt pattern are you running? I may be able to get you some "loaner wheels and tires". 37" Maxxis on beadlocks. Hell, they seem to get passed around to about 4-5 people I know for the Gulches competitions and such:D

Running RS Dana 44 in the front, full float 44 in the rear, both 6x5.5. That would be AWESOME.
