Well, it is true.
I will not be able to attend Winterfest.. ..and its RIGHT NEXT DOOR! (sorta)
I was really looking forward to a chance to finally get to meet you all.
I even have a free day of wheeling down there due to a mishap a while back..

Too bad I don't have any 'cool' reasons for not being able to make it.
You know, stuff like, 'my D44 wont be in in time' or 'my cage is going in over that weekend'
Nope, nothing 'cool' is preventing me from attending.

The company I work for (electronic arts) closed their Chicago studio.
So I got 'layed off' - but they hired me back on in Vancouver, B.C.
I am looking forward to the new locale.. ..but am pissed about Winterfest.

I know I haven't met many of you, but I feel like I know who you are from posts.
Anyhow, movers get my stuff on Dec. 31st and I reign in the new year in a new country.

@$#)*(%&^#!@(&*%#*!@&!#)(*^#@!_(^ I AM UPSET!

Farewell, Midwest Chapter.
Farewell, Winterfest 2008.

Hello, Blue and Purple money with hockey players on it.

You are excited to move to Canada?

meh, there's some awesome wheeling in the BC area. Let me get Chance's number and I'll refer you to the local club.

There are some nice establishments in Canada. Very nice.......so I've heard.:eyes:

Vancouver BC is beautiful.
breathtaking actually.
a bit more Asian influence than I expected.
still, its on the US border, so you have plenty of US food etc.
check out the whales eh.
hope you enjoy seafood.

see ya!

Hey thanks for the support everyone.

I appreciate all of the help, and would love to get in contact with someone local up there!
Its going to be odd moving to another country without knowing anyone.
But I figure its a neat opportunity, and I wont live there forever.

You guys be safe and have fun at Winterfest!

Best if luck to ya and teh move. I was VERY impressed when we visited Canada a few years back. It was scenic and all I kept thinking was "man, I bet there is some good wheeling up here"! It is good to see that you have an open mind about the move. Go and have fun, who cares if you occassionally make an ass out of yourself....because that is what makes for good stories!! And from Dec 31 and beyond, when you post up I expect to see "eh" in it somewhere!! :D

Once, I was in Detroit and went to Windsor. It was only good for one thing and Hale alread mentioned it.

Still better than Detroit though.

establishments, eh? .... ...

well, i know nothing of windsor, but get this:

I just found out daytime running lamps are required equiptment in canada.

...i guess ill have to figure out how to set that up with my 97...

thoughts?

OH Man Hes already learned french, eh..
can you just jump the headlights to come on with ignition?
or do they need to be 20% dimmer or whatever day times are?

There was guy on here who had to add DRL's.

He just wired it so the lowbeams get continous power when the ignition is on. When you turn on the parking lights or headlights, the lowbeams will still remain on.

Seems simple enough, unless you want to get into running the highbeams at a lower voltage, etc....

Or getting fancy about only having the lights come on when the vehicle is in gear.

I was in Canada and I don't recall seeing every single car with DRL's??
