Tube bender

that's a pipe bender, dies probably wont work for tube (wrong dia.). plus if it's anything like the harbor freight bender exactly like those, then it'll just kink the tubes anyways.
get a jd2 for less money.

Ah, gotcha. Ok, i'll have a look at that link. I was hoping to find someone I have an acct with so I can just charge it...sadly IMS stopped selling them about 6 months ago :(

Pipe is for poop, and is designed to have a higher burst strength, so to speak. Tubing is structural, and is what we use. Theyre measured differantly, 1.5" PIPE has an ID of 1.5", so OD of like, 1.625 or whatever. 1.5" TUBE, is 1.5" OD.

Jd2, or a vertical air over hydraulic like the probender if youve got the extra coin. Me, i dont mind pullin the lever.

Yea, I know the difference in metals..just wasn't to sure on the bender. I'll shop around a bit online and look at that site on Monday when I get back to the office..thanks dude!

Food for thought, my brother bought some 1" tube" I think or 1.25 but anyway used the 1/2" pipe die on the harbor freight bender and it turned out pretty good!

i have a harbor freight bender and i wouldnt use it for anything structural, it kinks the tube. might be ok for tube fenders or something, but definitely not a cage.

just build your own bender, most use the got-trikes plans. ive got probably $400-450 into mine, and thats including the protools die and the air hydro ram from HF. bends tube awesome and I like the satifaction of building things myself.
