I just placed my order for a new OEM front floor pan for my XJ and it is at the Omix-Ada warehouse in Suwanee, GA, just outside Atlanta. The plan is to leave early Thursday morning and get it picked up before noon.

WhoooHooooo! Look out holy floorboards, your days are numbered.

Me and my mother in law. She said she would ride along if no one else was going so somebody could work the Tom Tom and be an extra set of eyes while drive in Atlanta. Besides Olivia won't want to ride that long and since my wife is expecting, that makes for a long trip riding. I have two more seats in the Dodge.

I purchased the panel through DiscountJeepParts.com. Jim said it would be no problem to pick up the panel at their warehouse.

I'll need to replace my driver side floor pan sometime in the near future. Well, pay someone to replace it for me. If I JB-welded it, I'm sure I would hear all about it.

I may scrap a body with good floor pans

I talked to Shrek about a 4 door 94? model but he said he had cut the body up already.

The good thing about the new floor is that it will all be new and it should last a long time.

Stop by and pick up a currie steering for me? Come on...

I can meet you Thursday afternoon if that works for you Ed. If you need to come by sooner than that I can leave the steering round the house.

Shoot me a PM for the details.

I will give you guys (Tim & James) a shout. I called today and the floor pan has to be picked up before noon. So I will be meeting you guys around that time as I hope to have the floor in my hands before 12.

Alright guys. Made the trip and with all the driving, parts runs, visiting, and lunch it took 12 hours. I left at 5am and got in at 5pm.

What a great day. Got my floor from Omix-ADA (purchased thru DiscountJeepParts.com). Great place and the guys were very interested in what I was planning to do with the floor pan. Very professional place. I've never seen so many accessories in all my life in one place. I got to see the owners restored Willy's Jeep. The guy told me they have brand new Willy's and CJ bodies in stock but I didn't get to see them.

Next I got a chance to see The Hard Struggler (Tim) and see his XJ one last time before radical changes take place. His rig will be so cool. Dropped off StumpXJ's new-to-him welder (sorry I couldn't meet up with ya) and picked up parts for High2by and some wheels for Team Willys to work on. Talked for a while with Tim and needless to say, I'm motivated to get my junk in gear and ready for the Crawl even more so than before. Had a great visit.

Next we made a pit stop in Cartersville, GA at Appleby's. Mmmmm, food.

Then it was on to meet Tyler and drop off Tim's new wheels. Tyler was busy acing a test at school so I dropped by his shop and dropped off Tim's wheels. Finally on the the last 2 hours home.

I got a lot done today and visited and talked with some great friends. Thanks guys for making me enjoy this club so much. A special thanks goes to Brenda for being an extra set of eyes in Atlanta rush hour traffic and working the TomTom. Thanks for the company.

Now I'm off to eat dinner at mom & dad's.

i bet you re like me when i go to Atlanta now, and think.. i m SOOOoooooo happy not to have to deal with this traffic in TN!

Got the wheels! I'll take the measurements tomorrow and get the rings designed tomorrow evening hopefully.

Thanks Ed. After the last trip to Windrock my drag link is waaaayyyy bent and rubbing the TB bracket. Can't wait to put the Currie on!!!

Sounds like a full day!
