I know its bad...The question is what trackbar should i replace it with? I want one that is adjustable on the vehicle with threaded ends...who makes a good one. All the ones I see look like they have a lock down nut and have to be removed, adjusted, installed, and checked...again and again until its right. Is that really how they work?

Thanks for the input.

John

Are you lifted yet if not they are too big for stock vehicals(well some are). and your adjusting question yep that's how it's done it also helps to have a good sized friend to help shake the xj a bit they can be a bear to line up.

i think the one on my friends XJ is a terra-flex.. it is adjustable in the center with a collar and clamps, just like a tie-rod adjustment.. looks a lil cheesy actually, but it is adjustable on the vehicle... nowhere near the strength of my RE HD bar.

Actually if you have a buddy just turn the steering wheel and hold it to where the tires are centered under the body it is pretty easy to judge the length and line it up. without the bar attached the jeep just sways back and forth over the front axle when you turn the wheel. I vote for RE as for track bars. I love mine because it hasn't given me any trouble.

Lifted 4.5"

I guess I should just get the RE?

Maybe its not so hard to adjust?

Thanks,
John

its not like you are adjusting it all the time...

setting the axle in place, then ligning up the end and putting a bolt in isnt hard...

and with 4.5" lift, id hope you didnt have the stock trackbar anymore...
