I have a buddy that had a bad rear axle seal in a 92 Xtra cab P/up. I'd like to help him replace it, but the chiltons calls for the use of a bearing press and other assorted tools.

He's called around and the cheapest quote is 5 hrs and 500.00 minimum.
Atfer looking at the e-toolbox fsm and schematic, it looks almost as easy as a D35 axle seal.
(done them before)

Is there anything special that I'll need to do this? It looks pretty straightforward (without any special tools)

Anything helps.

Thanks,

John

you do or you can use the good old blue wrench to get the retainer off wile your there you should change the bearing too.
