To Powder Coat or to Rattle Can

I picked up a high pinion 44 from a mid-70s Ford F150 a few weeks ago that I'm going to narrow to accept TJ Rubicon inner shafts(63" WMS-WMS), and am going to give it a similar treatment. UCF truss, Ballistic coil/shock/LCA brackets, gusseted "C"s, OTK Chevy 1 ton steering, ARB, etc.
For now I'm going to stick with the 1/2 ton Ford knuckles and stock shafts, but eventually plan on high steer, hydro, alloy or RCV shafts.

ahh if you werent so far away i would. i need the room. you could even have the bumper that it mounted to. kinda looking at modding it to fit the new bumper though. havent decided yet

i wrinkle painted my bumpers. it gives a nice even texture that looks like bed liner but alot more even and not so rough and conveniently in a spray can. just follow the directions and it comes out perfect. ive touched it up multiple time and youd never know. it comes in all types of colors too

what type/brand wrinkle paint did you use? was it that 'hammered' finish? im doing a winch bumper on my XJ in a couple weeks and i dont really want the real rough texture of undercoating but i dont want a high gloss....

any suggestions?

Hammered is good - after you're more than a few feet away, it looks smooth. Get up close and personal, you get a little bit of "wrinkly" texture (how much depends on how thick you lay it down).

I used silver Rustoleum Hammered for most of my front bumper (did the D-ring tabs in semi-gloss black to follow original silver/black pusher pads scheme of the OEM unit), and think it looks just fine.
